About Me
My Art Journey.
I discovered my love for art when I was little, I would spend afternoons in the field with my mum sketching our ponies. I quickly became fascinated by their movement and enjoyed drawing them throughout my childhood. I spent my teenage years focusing on digital art and began taking digital pet portraits however, during my GCSEs and A-Levels, I enjoyed branching out into more traditional mediums and quickly fell in-love with watercolour. I was inspired to start painting traditional pet portraits about 3 years ago when family members had asked for portraits for gifts. I now paint mostly dogs, horses, cats and aeroplanes!
My Aviation Journey.
My journey began with a flight in a Cessna 152, I found myself mesmerised with the spirit of aviation from that very moment. This love then kindled its way into my artwork during the lockdown and also inspired much of my A-Level artwork, I would sketch aircraft as a way to learn about the unique quirks of their design and engineering. I find significant inspiration from the Shuttleworth Collection, a place that has kept me coming back since I was young. My paintings reflect my love of aviation and capture an extensive variety of aircraft from a personal perspective. I feel very fortunate to be learning to fly and, as an aviation artist, I hope this opportunity enables me to incorporate the breath-taking experience of flight in my work.
My Aim.
As an artist, I aim to create an atmosphere in my paintings that bring life to the subjects. For my aviation paintings, I want my viewers to feel like they can feel what flying the aircraft in front of them might be like. I believe that aircraft are a powerful, beautiful, and exhilarating machines. I want to not only preserve the significance of the journey that aviation has taken over the last 120 years but also to actively engage and ignite the passions of younger generations of aviation enthusiasts.
Through my pet portrait work, I aim to capture special memories and the spirit of the animals that I paint. so that my customers can view that special pet in a unique and beautiful way!
